Basic concepts
Understand statements, instructions and actions
What is a statement?
A statement is the Kether script you write. For example:
tell "Hello"
give diamond 1A script can contain a single statement or several statements.
Think of it as a passage of text: its instructions need to make sense and execute in the intended order.
What is an instruction?
An instruction is the verb in a statement: it describes what to do.
For example:
tell— send a message.command— run a command.if— evaluate a condition.check— compare values.inline— resolve expressions inside a string.
An instruction usually appears at the beginning of a line, followed by its arguments.
What is an action?
An action combines an instruction and its arguments into a complete operation, written as a line or a block.
For example:
tell "Hello"— an action that sends a message.check money >= 100— an action that returns true or false.inline "{{ sender }}"— an action that replaces{{ sender }}with the player's name.
An action can contain smaller actions grouped inside { }:
if check money >= 100 then {
tell "You have enough money"
give diamond 1
}The two lines inside { }, tell and give, are child actions.
